Andre Proulx began his collegiate journey in 1976 as a member of the Algonquin Thunder men’s volleyball team.

He played a key role in leading the Thunder to back-to-back provincial titles in 1976-77 and 1977-78. His strong play earned him OCAA first-team all-star honours in both seasons. During this time, he was also part of Canada’s national junior volleyball program.

Following his playing days, Proulx remained active in the sport as an OVA official, and later returned to Algonquin in the late 1980s to serve as the head coach of the men’s volleyball team.
