Geoff McMullen was a trailblazer in OCAA men’s hockey, playing for two seasons in the late 1960s.
In his debut season (1968-69), he earned recognition as the OCAA’s top goaltender and helped lead Algonquin to the league final, where they fell to St. Clair in overtime. His performance earned him a spot on the championship all-star team.
He repeated as the league’s top goaltender the following year (1969-70), guiding Algonquin to an East region title. However, the team once again came up short in the OCAA final, losing to St. Clair.
Geoff’s legacy lives on as a member of the OCAA Men’s Hockey All-Millennium Team.
