2025-2026 SEASON

WEEK 20 WOLVES DEN WOLVES OF THE WEEK (FEBRUARY 23RD TO MARCH 1ST)

As the last remaining Wolves team standing, the women's basketball team travelled to Humber for a rematch of last years semi-final, this time in the quarter-final round.  The Wolves battled but came out on the wrong end of a 77-56 final score. Despite the loss, Cooper Drover was a big spark off the bench leading the Wolves in scoring with 17 points and adding 4 rebounds in 19 minutes of action.  The loss means the women's basketball and the varsity season as a whole has come to an end.  We look forward to seeing out teams back in action in September!  

WEEK 19 WOLVES DEN WOLVES OF THE WEEK (FEBRUARY 16TH T0 FEBRUARY 22ND)

The Wolves travelled to Hamilton on Saturday to take on the Mohawk Mountaineers in the first round of the OCAA playoffs.  Despite being the lower seed, Algonquin gave Mohawk all they could handle and were a few possessions away from pulling off the upset.  In his final game in an Algonquin Uniform Haven Holder had one of his best games scoring 21 points, adding 10 rebounds, 4 huge blocks and some emphatic slams.  His performance earned him his 2nd straight Wolves Den Wolves of the Week award.  Unfortunately it was in a losing cause as the Wolves fell 86-79 ending their 2025-26 campaign. 

WEEK 18 WOLVES DEN WOLVES OF THE WEEK (FEBRUARY 9TH TO FEBRUARY 15TH) 

In their final home stand of the regular season, Haven Holder recorded back-to-back double-doubles to lead the Wolves men’s basketball team and secure a sixth-place finish in the OCAA East Division. Despite a weekend-opening loss to the Loyalist Lancers, Holder delivered a standout performance with a team-high 22 points, 11 rebounds, and two blocks, shooting an efficient 10-for-12 from the floor. He followed that effort with 16 points, 13 rebounds, and three blocks to power Algonquin to a narrow 61–60 victory over the St. Lawrence Surge. The Wolves now travel to the Steel City this weekend for their OCAA crossover matchup against the Mohawk Mountaineers.

WEEK 17 WOLVES DEN WOLVES OF THE WEEK (FEBRUARY 2ND TO FEBRUARY 8TH) 

The Wolves men's volleyball team closed out their regular season at home this past weekend against the Seneca Sting and Georgian Grizzlies. Despite a couple of tough losses, Nick Gauthier Barber had a big weekend for the team.  On Friday against Seneca he finished with 10 kills, 7 digs and 3 blocks.  On Saturday against Georgian he followed it up with 21 kills, 4 digs and 3 blocks. The Wolves will need more of this on Saturday when they take on the Redeemer Royals in the first round of the OCAA playoffs. 

WEEK 16 WOLVES DEN WOLVES OF THE WEEK (JANUARY 26TH TO FEBRUARY 1ST)

The Wolves men's volleyball team went 1-1 in week 16, sweeping the St. Lawrence Surge on Wednesday at home before falling to the Loyalist Lancers on the road on Saturday.  3rd year middle Ethan Fisher had two quality performances this week.  On Wednesday against his hometown team, the Kingston native recorded 10 kills and 5 blocks with a .909 kill percentage.  On Saturday in Belleville he followed it up with 5 more kills and a .625 kill percentage.  The Wolves are entering the final weekend of the regular season in 4th place in the OCAA East with a 10-4 record.  You can catch them at home on Friday February 6th at 8:00 pm against the Seneca Sting followed by a 3:00 pm start on Saturday against the Georgian Grizzlies. 

WEEK 15 WOLVES DEN WOLVES OF THE WEEK (JANUARY 19TH TO JANUARY 25TH)

The Wolves men's volleyball team was in action on the road this past Wednesday at La Cité before taking on the Durham Lords on Satuday at home.  The Wolves continued their perfect start to the semester with back to back 3-1 wins.  3rd year Libero Naoki Nakashima was a force defensively for his team recording 7 digs against the Coyotes and following it up with 16 more against Durham.  Nakashima currently leads the league in both digs and digs per set.  The Wolves have moved into the 4th spot in the East standings and are looking to continue to climb leading into the playoffs.  They take on the St. Lawrence Surge on Wednesday January 28th at home before heading to Belleville on Saturday to take on the Loyalist Lancers. 

WEEK 14 WOLVES DEN WOLVES OF THE WEEK (JANUARY 12TH TO JANUARY 18TH)

The men's basketball team is off to a 2-0 start to 2026.  On Wednesday January 14th the Wolves earned a 92-70 win over crosstown rival La Cité.  On Saturday January 17th they earned an equally impressive win taking down George Brown 91-74.  3rd year guard was a force for Algonquin.  He scored 33 points while adding 8 rebounds and 2 assists againt La Cité.  He followed it up with another dominant performance scoring 30 points while adding 6 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals against George Brown.  His efforts earned him OCAA and CCAA Player of the Week honours.  The Wolves have won 4 of their last 5 games going into a big road weekend against Durham and Fleming. 

WEEK 13 WOLVES DEN WOLVES OF THE WEEK (NOVEMBER 24TH TO NOVEMBER 30TH)

The men’s basketball team closed out the first semester on a high note after beating the Seneca Sting on Friday November 28th to improve to 3-6. Fourth year forward  Gezim Pjetergjokaj had a big impact for the Wolves off the bench, finishing with 10 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists in just 12 minutes. Gezim was also perfect from the floor, and also went 6-6 from the charity stripe. The Wolves have seen to have found their identity after a slow start to begin the season, and have now won two of their last three games.

WEEK 12 WOLVES DEN WOLVES OF THE WEEK (NOVEMBER 17TH TO NOVEMBER 23RD)

The Wolves men’s basketball team has shown steady improvement this season, and were looking to build off one of their most complete performances of the year when the took on George Brown and Centennial. Third-year guard Albert Opena was instrumental in the team's 79-74 victory over the Huskies, contributing 19 points, 6 rebounds, and 1 assist. In their second game of the road trip, the Wolves faced a challenging matchup against the Colts, ultimately falling to finish the weekend 1-1. Once again, Albert was a consistent offensive presence, tallying 21 points, 2 rebounds, and 2 assists.

WEEK 11 WOLVES DEN WOLVES OF THE WEEK (NOVEMBER 10TH TO NOVEMBER 16TH)

The men’s basketball team faced a tough challenge this past Saturday as they hosted the Georgian Grizzlies, who entered the matchup ranked fourth in the OCAA. Third-year guard Albert Opena was a force throughout the game, keeping the Grizzlies on their heels with an efficient and dynamic performance. Opena finished with a game-high 23 points, adding 5 assists and 8 rebounds while shooting 50 percent from beyond the arc. Although the Wolves ultimately fell short, the performance proved they can compete with some of the top teams in the conference.

WEEK 10 WOLVES DEN WOLVES OF THE WEEK (NOVEMBER 3RD TO NOVEMBER 9TH)

Third-year libero Naoki Nakashima has been a defensive cornerstone for the Wolves and continued that level of play on Saturday against the Loyalist Lancers. In the 3–1 victory, Nakashima posted 21 digs, the highest total of the match. Nakashima leads the OCAA in total digs (65) and digs per set (5.42). Nakashima and the Wolves will look to stay undefeated as they travel this weekend to face the Durham Lords and St. Lawrence Surge.

WEEK 9 WOLVES DEN WOLVES OF THE WEEK (OCTOBER 27TH TO NOVEMBER 2ND)

Second year opposite hitter Nick Gauthier Barber had a huge impact in the Wolves 3-1 win over cross-town rival La Cite on Wednesday night. Nick finished with a game high 14 kills, and also added 2 blocks and 1 ace to finish with 17 points on the evening. On top of his offensive contributions, Nick also had a strong defensive effort as he finished with 18 digs. The Wolves now sit at 2-0 on the season, and will host the Loyalist Lancers on Saturday November 8th on our annual Mavs Appreciation Night.

WEEK 8 WOLVES DEN WOLVES OF THE WEEK (OCTOBER 20TH TO OCTOBER 26TH)

The Algonquin Wolves men’s volleyball team opened their 2025-26 campaign in strong fashion on Saturday night, defeating the Centennial Colts in four sets to start the season 1-0. A familiar face made his return to the lineup as fourth-year left-side hitter Connor Finnie suited up after a season away. A dominant force in the middle during the 2023-24 season, Finnie transitioned to the left side this year and looked right at home recording 14 kills on an impressive .560 hitting percentage, along with one service ace. Welcome back to the Pack, Connor!

WEEK 7 WOLVES DEN WOLVES OF THE WEEK (OCTOBER 12TH TO OCTOBER 19TH)

Fresh off being named an OCAA East First Team All-Star, fifth-year senior and team captain Cristian Aviles-Molina rose to the moment in the Wolves’ quarterfinal clash against the Sheridan Bruins. With a spot in the Final Four hanging in the balance and the scoreboard locked at 0-0 deep into the second half, Aviles-Molina seized the spotlight. In the 56th minute, he capitalized on a free kick sent into the box, positioning himself perfectly to calmly slot home the go-ahead goal. The Wolves never looked back, punching their ticket to the semifinals and earning the right to host the OCAA Men’s Soccer Championship on October 25–26.

WEEK 6 WOLVES DEN WOLVES OF THE WEEK (OCTOBER 6TH TO OCTOBER 11TH)

 Thanks to his heroic efforts this past Saturday against the George Brown Huskies, Alix Basa takes home Athlete of the Week for the second consecutive week. The Wolves controlled their own destiny heading into the final regular season game against the Huskies. The scenario was simple. Win, and the Wolves would clinch the East Division title. Things didn’t look great for the Wolves after the Huskies scored off a corner kick late in the first half to take the 1-0 lead. In the 55th minute, Alix buried a header off a free-kick to tie the game at 1-1. Knowing that they needed to win, the Wolves were relentless on the attack for the rest of the match. It looked like the Wolves would run out of time, until Alix tucked his second of the match past the Huskie keeper in the 85th minute. The Wolves wouldn’t look back from there, winning the match 2-1 and clinching their second straight East Division title.  

WEEK 5 WOLVES DEN WOLVES OF THE WEEK (SEPTEMBER 29TH TO OCTOBER 5TH)

Second-year striker Alix Basa has been a key offensive force for the Wolves this season, and he continued to shine this past weekend against the Seneca Sting and Centennial Colts. In Saturday's match against Seneca, the Wolves were fighting to secure the East Division title but ultimately fell 4–2. Despite the loss , and with the Wolves down to 10 men, Alix found the back of the net to give the Wolves some life. On Sunday, the Wolves bounced back in dominant fashion with a 4–1 win over Centennial. While Alix didn’t score, he was heavily involved in the attack, creating chances throughout the game and recording two assists. With the win, the Wolves improved to 8–1 and officially clinched at least the #2 seed in the OCAA East Division.

WEEK 4 WOLVES DEN WOLVES OF THE WEEK (SEPTEMBER 22ND TO SEPTEMBER 28TH)

The men’s rugby team has been rebuilding the program since its return to the OCAA in 2022. The game-by-game improvements have been substantial for the Wolves, and that was on display this past weekend against the Durham Lords, who are the #1 ranked team in the OCAA. Algonquin showed tremendous heart, and even took the lead early in the second half. Ultimately, the Lords proved to be too much and took the game 47-21. Third year full-back Luke Flores scored 3 conversions for the Wolves, to lead the team with 6 points in the match. Luke and the Wolves now sit at 1-2 on the season, and will be back in action at home on October 4th when they take on the St. Lawrence Surge.

WEEK 3 WOLVES DEN WOLVES OF THE WEEK (SEPTEMBER 15TH TO SEPTEMBER 21ST)

The Algonquin Wolves men’s soccer team has been an offensive force this season, and third-year striker Gershom Dupuy has done his fair share of scoring this season. This weekend the Wolves hosted the Cambrian Shield and Lakehead Orillia Thunderwolves and were looking to stay undefeated on the season. Against the Shield, Gershom netted 2 goals in the 6-1 win. The next game against the Thunderwolves, Gershom potted a hat-trick and also added an assist in the 12-0 victory. The 5 goal weekend puts Dupuy at 7 for the season, good enough for the second most in the OCAA.

WEEK 2 WOLVES DEN WOLVES OF THE WEEK (SEPTEMBER 8TH TO SEPTEMBER 14TH)

First-year right back Shawn-Allen Guillaume has wasted no time making an impact in his debut season with the Wolves. Guillaume recorded a goal and an assist in Algonquin’s commanding 5-0 home-opener win over the St. Lawrence Surge, before adding another tally in Sunday’s match against the George Brown Huskies. The Wolves are red-hot to start the campaign, sitting at 4-0, atop the OCAA East Division, and currently ranked No. 2 in the province.

 

WEEK 1 WOLVES DEN WOLVES OF THE WEEK (SEPTEMBER 2ND TO SEPTEMBER 7TH)

Third-year centre back Alessandro Vivolo helped the Wolves pick up right where he left off after last year’s provincial and national silver-medal campaign. Vivolo opened the season with a goal in a convincing 3–0 win over the Durham Lords, then erupted against Fleming with a staggering five goals and 2 assists to lead Algonquin to an 15–0 victory. The Wolves are looking to repeat as OCAA East Division champions, and put themselves in great position heading into their home opener against the St. Lawrence Surge on Wednesday September 10th.

2024-25 SEASON 

WEEK 21 WOLVES DEN ATHLETE OF THE WEEK (FEBRUARY 23RD TO MARCH 1ST) 

The varsity season came to a close on March 1st with the women's basketball team earning a bronze medal on home court with a 68-50 win over the Fanshawe Falcons.  in her final game in a Wolves uniform, 3rd year forward Piper Hatherall was named player of the game.  She scored 4 points and grabbed an incredible 16 rebounds to help the Wolves earn their 3rd medal in 3 years. 

It was an incdredible atmosphere all weekend long at the ARC thanks to all of the Wolves who came out to support the squad.

WEEK 20 WOLVES DEN ATHLETE OF THE WEEK (FEBRUARY 17TH-22ND)

Fresh off being named OCAA East Player of the Year, OCAA Defensive Player of the Year, and CCAA All-Canadian for a third consecutive year, Dasia McDonald had a monster performance against the Lambton Lions on Saturday afternoon in front of a packed crowd. In a rematch of last year’s gold medal game, Dasia got the fans on their feet several times during the game, and 24 points, 12 rebounds, 5 assists and 2 steals. She also went an impressive 14-16 from the free-throw line. Dasia and the Wolves will now host the OCAA Final Four from February 28th- March 1st, where Algonquin will take on the Humber Hawks in the semi-finals this Friday night. Tip-off is at 7:30 PM!

An honorary Athlete of the Week goes out to all our amazing Wolves fans who made it known that this is our house! From the cheers, chants, and pots and pans, it was truly an electric atmosphere that most definitely gave our team an extra spark on the court. Let's pack the ARC again this weekend as the Wolves go for gold!

WEEK 19 WOLVES DEN ATHLETE OF THE WEEK (FEBRUARY 10TH-16TH)

The women’s basketball team punched their ticket to the quarterfinals after defeating the Sheridan Bruins 57-43 this past Saturday in their OCAA Qualifying Game. It was a hard fought game, as both teams locked in defensively and it didn’t give each other any easy baskets. Dasia McDonald came up huge for Wolves on both sides of the ball, creating several turnovers and converting on transition opportunities. Dasia finished the game with a game high 16 points, while adding 4 assists, 4 rebounds, 4 steals and went a perfect 5 for 5 from the free-throw line. Next up for the Wolves is a rematch of last year’s gold medal game, when they host the Lambton Lions this Saturday at 1:00 pm.

WEEK 18 WOLVES DEN ATHLETE OF THE WEEK (FEBRUARY 3RD-9TH)

The women's basketball team wrapped up their regular season this past weekend against the St. Lawrence Surge, where the Wolves clinched their 3rd straight undefeated regular season. 3rd year forward Piper Hatherall saved her best for last, as she led the Wolves with a career high 20 points while also adding 8 rebounds and 2 steals. Piper was extremely efficient for the game going 7-11 from the floor, and 6-7 from the charity stripe. Piper and the Wolves will be back in action this Saturday to take on the Sheridan Bruins in their OCAA Qualifying Game at the ARC.

Week 17 WOLVES DEN ATHLETE OF THE WEEK (JANUARY 27TH TO FEBRUARY 2ND)

The women’s volleyball team wrapped up their regular season by going 1-1 on the road vs. Fleming and Durham. Grace Pate was an anchor for the Wolves as she was once again efficient on offense, and lethal from the service line. In their 3-0 sweep over Fleming, Pate had 8 kills and 3 aces, and a .500 hitting percentage. In their final match against the Lords, Pate had 13 kills and 2 aces. Grace and the Wolves will now be preparing for the OCAA Crossover match against the Cambrian Shield this Saturday at the ARC.

WEEK 16 WOLVES DEN ATHLETE OF THE WEEK (JANUARY 20TH TO 26TH)

Our women's basketball team reamained undefeated after beating the Seneca Sting and Georgian Grizzlies this past weekend. Dasia McDonald had a pair of massive games for the Wolves, who were missing some of their key players for the road trip. Against the Sting McDonald had an incredibly efficient game, finishing with 28 points on 10-11 from the field, and 5-6 from beyond the arc. She also added 6 assists and 3 rebounds in the 81-42 victory. She followed that performance up with 20 points, 7 steals, 5 assists, and 4 rebounds in the 74-44 win against the Georgian Grizzlies.

WEEK 15 WOLVES DEN ATHLETE OF THE WEEK (JANUARY 13TH TO 19TH)

The women's basketball team remained undefeated after beating the Durham Lords 75-42 on Friday January 17th. 5th year guard Sydney Moore continued her hot shooting streak, finishing 4/7 from beyond the arc. Moore had a fantasitic all-around game, finishing with 12 points, 5 assists and 3 steals. Sydney will look to help the Wolves stay undefeated this weekend as they take on the Seneca Sting, and Georgian Grizzlies.

WEEK 14 WOLVES DEN ATHLETE OF THE WEEK (JANUARY 6TH TO 12TH)

Our women's volleyball team took on the Canadore Panthers to kick off the new semester on Friday January 10th. It was the 2nd Mavs Appriciation Night of the season, and the Wolves took care of buisness and swept the Panthers 3-0 in front of an electric crowd. Former Mavs player Natasha Lauzon had an outstanding performance as she finished the match with 17 kills, 6 aces and 1 block for 24 points. Natasha was also named OCAA Athlete of the Week. The Wolves are back in action January 17th and 18th as they hit the road to take on the George Brown Huskies and the Centennial Colts.

WEEK 13 WOLVES DEN ATHLETE OF THE WEEK (NOVEMBER 25TH TO DECEMBER 1ST) 

Our women's volleyball team finished off the semester with a short road trip on Wednesday when they took on the La Cité Coyotes.  Despite the loss, 2nd year right side Grace Pate had a strong performance for the team earning her this weeks Wolves Den Athlete of the Week honours.  The team finished the first semester with an 8-3 record, good for 3rd in the OCAA East standings.  They will be back in action on Friday January 10th when we host the Canadore Panters.

WEEK 12 WOLVES DEN ATHLETE OF THE WEEK (NOVEMBER 18TH TO 24TH)

Our women's baskeball team finished off the semester on Saturday with a 67-39 win over the Seneca Sting.  4th year guard Dasia McDonald had another big game for the Wolves recordning a double-double with 19 points and 10 assists.  Her efforts not only earned her Wolves Den Athlete of the Week, but OCAA Star of the Week as well.  The Wolves have finished the first semester undefeated for the third straight season.  They will be back in action in the new year.

WEEK 11 WOLVES DEN ATHLETE OF THE WEEK (NOVEMBER 11TH TO 17TH)

Our women's volleyball team swept back to back games against George Brown and Fleming this past weekend improving their record to 7-2.  Rookie Cambria Alford had a big weekend for the Wolves scoring 28 total points throughout the 6 sets.  After 9 games, Alford is second on the team and 18th in the OCAA averaging 2.47 kills per set.  The Wolves have 2 games remaining this semester.  Friday they will welcome the Loyalist Lancers to the Jack Doyle Athletics and Rectreation Centre before finishing the semester on Wednesday at La Cité.

WEEK 10 WOLVES DEN ATHLETE OF THE WEEK (NOVEMBER 4TH TO 10TH)

Our women's basketball team remains undefeated after picking up two home wins against St. Lawrence and Loyalist this past weekend.  4th year guard Dasia McDonald proved why she is a two time All-Canadian as she stuffed the stat sheet all weekend long.  On Friday against St. Lawrence she had 18 points, 8 steals, 7 assists and 7 rebounds.  McDonald had an equally as impressive performance on Saturday against Loyalist finishing with 16 points, 9 rebounds, 5 steals and 4 assists.  The Wolves hit the road this Friday for a matchup with the Durham Lords.

WEEK 9 WOLVES DEN ATHLETE OF THE WEEK (OCTOBER 28TH TO NOVEMBER 3RD) 

Our women's volleyball team hit the road last weekend for back to back games against Georgian and Seneca.  On Friday in Barrie the Wolves earned a 3-1 win.  Rookie Carys Tenthorey had a huge game for her team recording 17 aces and 6 kills!  The Wolves are back in action on Wednesday November 6th when they host the La Cité Coyotes at 6:00 pm at the ARC.

WEEK 8 WOLVES DEN ATHLETE OF THE WEEK (OCTOBER 21ST TO 27TH) 

Our Wolves women's rugby 7s team competed in the OCAA championship tournament this past weekend.  The tournament kicked-off with a 1/4 Final matchup against the host Loyalist Lancers.  OCAA All-Rookie team member Faiza Faucher-Ahmed scored all 3 tries to help her team secure a 19-10 win and a spot in the 1/2 final.  Her efforts earner her the player of the game honours.  Despite dropping their next two in the 1/2 final and bronze medal game, Faiza was a force all day long defensively for the Wolves.

WEEK 7 WOLVES DEN ATHLETE OF THE WEEK (OCTOBER 14TH TO 20TH)

The Wolves women's volleyball team got their season started on a positive note.  On Saturday in North Bay the Wolves took down the Canadore Panthers in straight sets.  2nd year middle Grace Pate had a huge game for the Wolves scoring 15 total points including 7 service Aces.  After 1 week of play, Pate is at the top of the OCAA leaderboard in aces per set averaging 2.33.  The Wolves turn their attention to the Home Opener on Friday at 6:00 pm against the Durham Lords.  Just over 100 tickets remain for the game so make sure to grab yours online to have a chance to see the team play!

WEEK 6 WOLVES DEN ATHLETE OF THE WEEK (OCTOBER 7TH TO 13TH)

Our Wolves women's soccer team entered the final week of the regular season hoping to secure a home game in the first round of the OCAA playoffs.  They took a short trip down to Kingston on Wednesday October 9th to take on the St. Lawrence Surge.  Samantha Jones had her best offensive game of the year scoring the first 3 goals for the Wolves on route to a 5-nil win.  Jones and the Wolves had another strong performance on Saturday beating the Cambrian Golden-Shield 2-nil.  The results from the week have them in the 3rd spot in the OCAA East heading into the playoffs.  They will get the party starts on Wednesday October 16th when the Durham Lords come to town for a 6:00 pm kick-off.

WEEK 5 WOLVES DEN ATHLETE OF THE WEEK (SEPTEMBER 30TH T0 OCTOBER 6TH) 

Our women's rugby 7s team played their final regular season tournament with hopes of locking in a spot in the OCAA championship tournament.  On Saturday the team came up with 2 big wins against Seneca and Conestoga.  Kari Read played a large role in the teams success.  She finished the weekend with 12 total points off of 2 tries and 1 conversion.  The Wolves finished 4th overall in the regular season standings and will play the Loyalist Lancers in the 1/4 final of the OCAA championship tournament on October 26th in Belleville.

WEEK 4 WOLVES DEN ATHLETE OF THE WEEK (SEPTEMBER 23RD TO 29TH) 

The Wolves have gotten off to a great start this season going into week 4 at 4-0-1 and in a top 3 spot in the OCAA East.  On Saturday September 28th they were in Oshawa for a rematch with the Durham Lords.  The Wolves came away with a 3-0 win improving their record to 5-0-1.  First year defender Olivia Bradley had a strong defensive performance for the Wolves shutting down the main Durham threat on route to the 3 nil victory.  Her efforts earn her Week 4 Wolves Den Athlete of the Week honours.  The Wolves are back at home this weekend for 2 tough matchups against the Seneca Sting on Friday and Centennial Colts on Saturday.

WEEK 3 WOLVES DEN ATHLETE OF THE WEEK (SEPtember 16TH TO 22ND) 

Our women's rugby 7s team played their 2nd tournament of the season this past weekend in Kingston.  After a tough day on Saturday, they bounced back to pick up 2 wins on Sunday against Conestoga and Seneca to finish the weekend 2-2.  Rookie Faiza Faucher-Ahmed played a large role in her teams success scoring 3 tries inicluding 2 in the final game to secure the win and improve the teams record to 3-4. Faucher-Ahmed's performance earns her this weeks Wolves Den Athlete of the Week honours.   The Wolves are back on the road this weekend in Peterborough when they will take on Loyalist, St. Lawrence and Fleming.

WEEK 2 WOLVES DEN ATHLETE OF THE WEEK (SEPTEMBER 9TH TO 15TH)

 

The Wolves women's soccer team suited up in front of their home crowd for the first time this past weekend and they did not dissapoint.  On Saturday the Wolves took on the Fleming Phoenix.  With the game still hanging in the balance, 2nd year striker Olivia Lambert took matters into her own hands scoring four goals in the final 20 minutes of the match to help her team secure a 5-0 victory.  Lambert also played a solid game on Sunday when the Wolves secured a 4-2 win over the Durham Lords.  The Wolves currently sit in 2nd place in the OCAA East standings, 3rd in the OCAA overall rankings and
