Ottawa, ON - The Algonquin Wolves volleyball teams return to action this Saturday, November 8, when they host the Loyalist Lancers at the Jack Doyle Athletics & Recreation Centre for their annual Mavericks Volleyball Club Appreciation Night. Both squads will look to remain unbeaten and improve to 3-0 on the season.

The Wolves are off to strong starts after identical 3-1 victories over the Centennial Colts and La Cité Coyotes. On the women's side, third-year middle Pasha Ormerod has been a standout performer, ranking second in the OCAA with a remarkable .606 hitting percentage. For the men, defense has been a strength, with Naoki Nakashima and Connor Finnie both ranking in the top five in digs. Nakashima leads the OCAA with 44, while Finnie sits fourth with 31.

Beyond the court, both teams are using the month of November to support important causes. The women's team will host a bottle drive and raffle in support of breast cancer research, while the men's team is raising awareness and funds for Movember initiatives.

A large crowd is expected for Saturday's doubleheader, so fans are encouraged to register for tickets in advance to secure their spot and help celebrate the Mavericks community while cheering on the Wolves.
