Ottawa, ON — The Algonquin Wolves volleyball teams are set for their first road action of the 2025-26 OCAA season as they travel to Oshawa on Friday, November 14 to take on the Durham Lords at the Campus Recreation & Wellness Centre. The women's match begins at 6:00 PM, followed by the men's at 8:00 PM.
Both Wolves squads enter the weekend undefeated at 3-0, and will look to carry their early-season momentum into a tough matchup against a historically strong Durham program.
On the women's side, the Wolves' balanced attack has been a major storyline through the first three games. Carys Tenthorey and Pasha Ormerod continue to lead the offense, with each averaging over 4.0 points per set, while Chanel Ethier and Jordan Faig anchor the backcourt, ranking first and third in the OCAA in digs per set, respectively. The Wolves will look to avenge last year's results after dropping both meetings with the Lords.
For the men, defensive consistency is a big reason for their strong start. Naoki Nakashima leads the OCAA with 5.42 digs per set, Kyle Butler sits second at 3.88, and Connor Finnie ranks fourth at 3.00. At the net, Ethan Fisher has been a strong net-front presence, averaging 0.75 blocks per set, good enough for fifth in the OCAA. When it comes to scoring, the Wolves have shown the can be dangerous from both pins, as left-side Connor Finnie, and right-side Nick Gauthier Barber are both averaging 3 kills per set or more. The Wolves will aim to stay perfect against a 2-2 Durham squad, and seperate themselves in the standings.
