WOLVES BASKETBALL GET SET FOR FINAL ROAD TRIP OF THE REGULAR SEASON

Wolves basketball will hit the road for the final time this regular season on February 6th and 7th when they visit the Georgian Grizzlies and Seneca Sting.

This is a big weekend for the women's squad who currently sit in 3rd in the OCAA East with a 7-3 record.  On Friday in Barrie they will battle a Grizzlies squad who is one spot behind them at 6-6.  These two teams met at the ARC back on November 15th.  After trailing by 11 going into the 4th, Algonquin stormed back to earn a 58-53 win.

On the men's side, the 6-8 Wolves are hoping to string some wins together in order to move up in the standings heading into the playoffs.  Friday will be a big test as the 11-3 Grizzlies are tied for the best record in the East.  Georgian earned a tightly contested 84-78 win when the two teams met in the 1st semester.

The women's game will tip-off at 6:00 pm with the men's game to follow at 8:00 pm at Michele McConney Court of the Georgian College Barrie Campus.

On Saturday the Wolves will take on the Seneca Sting.  The women's team is hoping to avenge a 57-52 first semester loss to the Sting who occupy the second seed in the East with a 9-2 record.  The Wolves have played their best basketball lately starting the semester undefeated.  This promises to be a tightly contested matchup.

On the men's side, the Wolves are hoping for another win over Seneca after a 76-64 victory in the first semester.  Seneca currently holds the 4th seed with a 9-5 record making this a meaningful matchup for Algonquin.

Tip-off for the women's game goes at 1:00 pm with the men's game to follow at 3:00 pm from the Magna Hall Gymnasium at the Seneca College King's Campus.
