Ottawa, ON - The Wolves women's rugby sevens program is celebrating individual recognition and preparing for postseason competition as second-year wing Faiza Faucher-Ahmed has been selected as an OCAA Women's Rugby 7s League All-Star, while first-year back Emma Khaimovich has been named to the OCAA All-Rookie Team. These honours come ahead of the OCAA Championship, set to take place in Cambridge on Saturday, October 25.
With the regular season now complete, the Wolves shift their focus to the championship tournament, where they will face the Humber Hawks in the quarterfinal round. The Wolves concluded the season in 6th place, recording 3 wins, 10 losses, and 1 tie, while Humber secured 3rd place with 11 wins and 3 losses.
The two teams met twice during the regular season, with Humber winning both matchups by scores of 20–5 and 36–0. The Wolves will look to build on their season's growth and leverage their recent momentum as they enter knockout play with a renewed competitive mindset.
The OCAA Championship takes place this Saturday, where the Wolves aim to pull off some upsets.
