The OCAA recently announced its list of award recipients for the 2021-2022 women's volleyball season and three of our players have received honors.
#2 Maddy Nadeau earned OCAA East Rookie of the Year honors and was also named an East 1st team All-Star. The first year Left Side from Cobourg Ontario had an outstanding first season with the Wolves averaging 3.31 kills per set (3rd in the OCAA) and 2.48 digs per set. (19th in the OCAA) Nadeau had one of her most impressive games against cross town rival La Cité when she recorded 20 kills and 11 digs in a 3-2 victory.
#3 Emilie Menard and #9 Kristina Renwick were both named OCAA East 1st Team All-Stars. Menard, the 3rd year Libero from Cornwall Ontario had an impressive campaign averaging 2.97 digs per set, good for 4th in the OCAA East. Renwick, the 4th year middle from Stittsville Ontario was a defensive presence all year for the Wolves finishing 2nd in the OCAA in blocks per set at 1.11.
These three players helped lead the Wolves to a 6-2 regular season record, good for 3rd place in the East division. The team would defeat La Cité 3-1 in the 1st round of the OCAA playoffs before eventually falling 3-0 to the OCAA silver medalists Mohawk Mountaineers.
