Maddy Nadeau Named Wolves Female Athlete of the Year
Women's volleyball rookie Maddy Nadeau had an instant impact in her first season at Algonquin helping her team finish 3rd in the OCAA East and earning a spot in the final 8.
The rookie from Cobourg Ontario had an outstanding season for the Wolves leading her team with 112 points and 96 Kills. She also added 72 Digs and 10 Aces through 7 regular season games. One of her top performances came against cross town rival La Cité on February 25th. #2 finished the game with 20 Kills, 11 Digs and 3 Aces en route to a 5 set victory.
Nadeau finished 3rd in the OCAA with 3.31 Kills per set which helped her earn OCAA East 1st Team All-Star honours. To top things off, Nadeau was also named the OCAA East Rookie of the Year.
