The CCAA recently released its list of Academic All-Canadians. This list honours student-athletes from across the country for their tremendous academic and athletic success. In order to be named to the list, a student-athlete must maintain a 3.6 GPA and be named to a Conference All-Star Team or a Conference Championship All-Star Team.
We are proud to announce that Kristina Renwick from our women's volleyball team has been named a CCAA All-Canadian. The 4th year athlete from Stittsville Ontario had an outstanding season on the court earning herself OCAA East 1st Team All-Star honours. Academically she maintained a 3.76 GPA in her 1st year of the Respiratory Therapy program. When asked if her sport contributed to her academic success, Kristina had this to say. "Playing volleyball in college has taught me perseverance, teamwork, time management, and the value of giving full effort. All of these things have helped me to succeed academically and have shaped the person that I am today."
The Algonquin Wolves and the Algonquin Student Association would like to congratulate Kristina on an exceptional academic and athletic season!
