Abraham “Abe” Osman was a standout for the Algonquin Thunder men’s basketball team from 1997 to 2001.

A quiet but determined competitor, Abe was named an OCAA East region all-star in all four of his seasons. In 1998-99, he earned national recognition as an all-Canadian. He capped off his collegiate career in 2000-01 by leading the East in scoring, averaging 24.4 points per game.

Coach Hugh Lynn described Abe as a “pure shooter” with full confidence to take his shot. His leadership and relentless work ethic earned him co-captain honours in his final season.
