Connor Finnie ROY
The Wolves men's volleyball team had a rocky start to the 2022 season losing their first two matches at home. The team bounced back in a big way winning 6 in a row to finish the regular season 6-2, good for 3rd in the OCAA East division. The Wolves would take down the George Brown Huskies 3-0 in the first round of the playoffs earning them a spot in the OCAA final 8.
Connor Finnie was a big part of the Wolves success this past season. The first year player from Ottawa, Ontario finished the year with 31 kills and finished 4th in the OCAA with 25 blocks. #18 had a big game at Durham on March 4th registering 8 blocks and 4 kills helping the team come away with the win in 5 sets.
Finnie's outstanding season received recognition from the OCAA. He was named a 1st team All-Star.

Richard Bucar MVP
In the first season back since 2019-2020, the Algonquin Wolves men's volleyball team had a successful year finishing 3rd in the OCAA East with a 6-2 regular season record. The team would come away with a 3-0 win over George Brown in the 1st round of the playoffs earning them a spot in OCAA final 8. Richard Bucar played a large role in the team's success.
The 4th year veteran from Ottawa, Ontario finished the season with 67 Kills, 51 Digs, 16 Aces and 10 Blocks through 7 games. He was often a focal point in the Wolves attack. #15 had one of his best performances in a 3-2 win on February 18th on the road at Seneca. Bucar finished the night with 13 Kills, 3 Aces and 9 Digs.
Richard received OCAA recognition for his outstanding season as he was named an OCAA 1st team All-Star. Richard has been named a 1st team All-Star for the past 2 seasons.
